Albemarle County has an underground cockfighting club. We’re one of nine places in the state that regularly holds private fights to the death, which will be banned under the proposed HB656.

There was a scandal several decades ago centered around Scottsville involving many prominent Virginians (’70’s I think) but it was quickly swept under the rug. Maybe this is how Mr. Vick got started.
