Fashion Square Kidnapping: Real?

Two weeks ago, the three major local media outlets (WVIR, WINA, and the Progress) all reported extensively on the attempted kidnapping of an eight-year-old boy at Fashion Square Mall and its prevention by an anonymous hero.
