Obviously it’s never good when someone is shot to death, however, the upside is that this can be a lesson to all of us.
It doesn’t matter if it is your house, if someone tells you that they are armed and not to come in, you should do what they say.
I am reminded of my favorite quote ever to come out of the DoD after marines in Kosovo came under fire from 3 drunk men with AK-47s.
“It is never a good idea to tangle with Marines, particularly when drunk.”
Note to self: If I try to break into my own house and someone inside tells me to stop and that they’re armed, I will stop.
Note to self: If I’m staying at someone’s house and that person tries to get in through the window, I will not shoot them.
