UVa Employee Tied to 2nd Rape

UVa Hospital employee Rudolph Johnson, who was charged with raping a patient (the source of the recent firing of nine UVa employees), is now being accused of a second rape, on the strength of DNA evidence. WINA has the story.

It’s definitely possible to make mistakes when collecting evidence, so I don’t mean to be passing any sort of a casual ruling. That said, given the fact that they’ve got DNA evidence against this guy, he’s SOL. I just hope that neither local media nor Charlottesvillians use this to support firing those employees convicted of felonies. Neither excuses the other.
