Frank Miller Moves Away

munk writes: Acclaimed graphic novelist Frank Miller‘s moving to New York soon, where he’ll continue developing the next Batman film script with Darren Aronofsky (“Pi“), based on Miller’s “Batman: Year One.” Miller is widely known for his “Batman: Dark Knight Returns,” and “Sin City” series.

Bummer.

Quite unfortunate, though he kept quite a low profile while in the area. He did a book signing at the Game Place downtown the weekend before last as a sort of goodbye, and while I was unfortunately busy, I did manage to get my copy of “Barman: The Dark Knight Returns” signed.

Even as someone who’s really not a comic book person, I must say that graphic novel is one of the best damn books I’ve ever read. It’s too bad we’ll lose another great artist in this town, but seeing how things have gone in the past, two more will pop up in his place. : )
