Or maybe just refer to them as “the phone company”.

Often wondered if these name changes were accompanied by a change in email address.
Did chump@centel.com have to go through the annoyance of re-publishing himself as chump@sprint.com, then chump@embarq.com, then chump@centurytel.com, then chump@centurylink.com, now chump@qwest.com?
Nope I’ve got a friend who’s got “chump@embarqmail.com” (Which is how embarq did their email addresses and even though it’s now centurylink they haven’t had to change anything.
I also don’t think there will be a name change with Qwest because CenturyLink is doing the purchasing and not being purchased.
Of course I could be wrong about that. It wouldn’t be the first time and it certainly wouldn’t be the last time.
