Actually, the changes in Google’s addressing is a result of Google now controlling the addressing data itself after dropping its contract with TeleAtlas as its addressing provider. These property boundaries aren’t just for Albemarle County, but for all over. Quick check of former habitations in southern California and Arizona shows property lines on both maps. Including the most oddly gerrymandered property lines I’ve ever seen, at the edge of the Coronado National Forest on the NE edge of Tucson:

I’m looking at the location of Stony Point Elementary on that map and it looks WAY off to me.
