Super dumb for sure, but I question the Hook’s reporting of it.
I mean, when the letters editor rejected the chain email and hold the conservative lady to “paraphrase” it, did you imply that she should just tweak a few lines, or send in another letter with similar sentiment. Still dumb and sloppy to run it at all, but the Hook piece makes it sound like Jason Blair Pt. II.
Especially love how they wheel in the “media ethicist” to add gravitas to the piece.
