It’s official: CVS is coming to the Corner. The landlord says that Plan 9 said they wanted out of their lease last year.

Greeeeat…..just what we need – another store like CVS. Way to go c-ville -whoever is in charge of this! Way to take away great places to make room for corporate bullshit =/
Lisa, Charlottesville didn’t have anything to do with it. Plan 9’s leaving is between that private corporation and the private property owner. CVS’s becoming a new tenant is between that private corporation and the private property owner.
That is why I said whoever is in charge as I did not know for sure. But so okay – way to go property owner and corporation. Either way – it really sucks.
Ha, ha!
I’m sure Plan 9 can find another location; I believe it once was in the old University Theater building near Hojo’s. Unofortunately, there are many vacant retail spaces in town.
