The SPCA needs you to foster some critters. They’ve got cats, kittens, dogs and puppies who need a home for days or weeks until they can find a forever home. It’s like getting a new pet, but without the commitment–I recommend it. #

If you can’t foster, they certainly need volunteers at the shelter as well. Although the end result may be the same; you’ll wind up with something furry in your home eventually.
We just got home with a six-toed cat that we’re fostering until he’s well. (He has an upper respiratory infection.) We’ve named him Count Rugen.
As long as you don’t have a dog named Inigo, you should all be very happy together. :-)
