1. From the Hook:

   …the City elected to pay the CCDC $103,000 for organizing the contest, with a $25,000 cash prize going to the winner.

   That’s awful generous amount of money for the city to be giving away. Wasn’t there an issue about needing money for city essentials like basic infrastructure needs?

   And also-

   How do any of these designs fit into the “Historic Downtown Mall” theme? Or did that just go out the window with the arrival of million dollar condos?
