State delegate Paul Harris has announced that he’s taking a job with the Justice Department, according to today’s Progress. President Bush has appointed him to be a deputy assistant in charge of tort litigation. I guess he’s not as committed to Central Virginia as he said he was when he was running for office.
Congratulations to Paul on his new position with the Department of Justice!
Don’t be a stranger:)

The snide tone of your remark is unfortunate. I’ll be sad to see Paul go, but I have no doubt that he’ll be back in a few years running for Senate or Governor. He’s definitely headed for high places, much to the chagrin of liberals everywhere. The intense vilification aimed toward black conservatives in general is pretty appalling. GOPaul!
Au contraire, BurntHombre!
I consider myself one of Paul Harris’ greatest flacks:)
Not only have I celebrated his new position on my web site at http://www.loper.org/~george/archives/2001/May/81.html
but I make every effort to include him anytime I can.
See http://www.loper.org/~george/trends/2000/Dec/97.html and http://www.loper.org/~george/trends/2000/Dec/82.html
Make no mistake. He and I do disagree on a number of issues.
But I do wish him well:)

And the nice thing about cvillenews.com is that I get to make a remark with a “snide tone,” and you get to argue with me. I think that’s lovely.

It looks like George thought that BurntHombre was replying to his initial comment, as opposed to what BurntHombre was really doing (I think), replying to the story that I put up initially. So, for clarification, George replied as above because he thought that BurntHombre had mis-interpreted his remarks. On the contrary, BurntHombre had, in fact, all-too-correctly interpreted mine. :)
