Let’s just say that I’ve attended enough sorority and fraternity parties at UVa to basically not be shocked that someone from here might graduate to such a calling. That said, her plausible deniability might be true enough. Anyone working for such an operation would probably be on a need to know basis. Maybe she was just naive and didn’t ask enough questions of her employer, but ignorance is not necessarily the same as innocence.
