See, I feel a bit guilty, because I’ve lived in Charlottesville for 8 years and still haven’t gotten around to visiting Monticello…
I’ve been a few times and not seen many changes or interesting programming that might bring me back. I’m vaguely aware of lecture series and special tours, but the price tags were extravagant.
I wonder of the downturn is also just a dip after the Lewis & Clark anniversary and the big Jamestown celebration that would have brought more visitors in. (I didn’t read more about it, just a thought.)
